Wow I was very suprised that the answer was New Zealand. I guessed Japan because it I thought that was a japanese name. Also I watch a lot of Anime and the name Tamaki shows up in a lot of Anime shows that I watch.

Progressive stands for progressive scan as opposed to interlacing scan which is 1080i. Interlacing scans all the odd lines first, then all the even lines. Progressive scan scans them all in order for a sharper picture. Almost all current HDTV pictures are 1080p, although some older CRT sets like mine are 1080i (some cheaper plasma sets are 720p, which only has 720 lines of resolution instead of 1080).

Don't count your convertibles before they're hatch(back)ed, Erin.

Good for Greg in knowing the Maoris live in New Zealand.

I confess I wouldn't have known this - I was expecting "pixel" or some related word. If I had used DD I would have chosen between A and D and ended up going home with $5K.

Either you know it or you don't. It's not something easily reasoned out. Just like "What does the 'V' in 'DVD" stand for?" The question I had about HDTV's proportion being 16:9 as well.

Either "video" or "versatile" depending upon the source you check.
