Weird weather

#1 Post by Kazoo65 » Tue Jan 08, 2008 9:32 am

OK, we got 14 inches of snow last week. Well, it all melted over the weekend-I can see my lawn now. Last night, we were actually under a TORNADO WATCH. This is JANUARY. Tornado watches don't usually occur around here until at least April. It's been raining quite heavily since yesterday (they are worried about flooding) and we've had some thunder storms thrown in.

This weekend, it's supposed to get cold and snow will again be falling-more January like.
I'm just a game show nerd.

I'm enjoying our early taste of Spring.

Sorry yours came with the tornado watch.

Which we would consider very mild for January. (Did you?)

But we were warmer than that! 8)

We got torrential rain, hail, lightning, and dancing tornados down here last night, too.

Lizbit went outside in the downpour. She loved it. Great. So now I have muddy footprints across the kitchen floor.

No, I consider it freezing.

I had to turn on my heater and my heated leather seats.

You know you can leave the heater on Auto and then you would not have to struggle to turn it on each time you use it. :D I think you still have to turn on your heated seat each time however.

It is 72 degrees here right now. Madeleine wanted to wear flip flops to school today but I would not let her. She'll prolly flip out when she gets home cuz I have them on right now. :P

She does, however, have a HUGE LSU bow in her hair.

Last week, we had a quarter-inch of snow on the ground and the morning lows were single digits. Yesterday, it was sunny and 70 degrees (a near record). Today, it's still warm, but storms will be moving through a little later.

Here it's 54.9° with a light wind from the south.

The low temperature for Dallas/Fort Worth on January 7th was 68 degrees (with a high of 80). That 68 degree reading was the highest daily low ever recorded in January here....

70 degrees today in the northeast! We were in Manhattan all day renewing visas and couldn't have picked a better day for it...kept having to remind ourselves that it is nearly the middle of January!
