Nice to see you.

It would be nice for their coach to be rewarded by staying.

Nice to see you.
It is good to see you, too. The Texans looked pretty good this year. Heck, they beat my Saints. Mario is shaping up to be a good fit for you all. But, then again, you already knew that!!

Absolutely! There are some tiger fans who just tolerate Les Miles. I really like him. I like coaches that take big risks. It shows you have confidence in your players.

I sent my older two girls to school in their LSU cheerleader outfits today. It wasn't totally my intention to rub it in to alllllllll the Ole Miss fans around here. Heh.

I'll by you a drink at the EOSB&G if that'll help.

Oh, and I thought you looked quite fetching in your bow tie the first time I met you.

christie - who didn't want that other thing to be the nicest thing he heard all day.

Okay, I'll bite Nitrah.

Actually, I dint go to LSU. My husband did. I went to Tulane and they have a sucky football team so I have to cheer for the tigers.

Oh yeah.

On the menu tonight at my house:

Crawfish etouffee with white rice

French bread

Green salad

Bananas Foster with vanilla ice cream

Abita beer

And to snack on Zapp's TigerTator chips in the purple and gold bag.

What? No chocolate?? A meal without chocolate is like a day without, well, day.

Well crap. I forgot the chocolate.

I'm off to Kroger...

Hey Toq. I'll be pulling for the Tigaahs too. (despite that smart remark about taunting Rebels  ) Some cajun friends of mine that hunt up here are planning on doing a big Tailgate Extravaganza in the Moonwalk parking lot complete with generators, great big grills, and satellite TV hookups. I wish I could be down there with them.

Your menu sounds good. We are having gumbo. There is a cookoff next month and a couple of my customers wanted to make a practice batch.

That Abita isn't going to be of the Turbo Dog variety is it?

I'll pull for LSU just for the SEC win......personally I hate LSU.

Think back to last second win over Auburn....we should have won that game and LSU would have 3 losses instead of 2.

Near the end of 1976, I turned 1.

And apathy rules the day for me in the battle of unimpressive OSU versus 2-loss LSU. If they had gotten here after knocking off the likes of USC, Kansas, Georgia, Mizzou, WVU, VT, etc.....then I would be more impressed.

No, I don't want a playoff. Not at all. </sarcasm>

Oh, and I agree that the Nintendo Wii is loads of fun. I don't have one right now, because they're still hard to find, and I'm also not sure if I'm ready to have another console system around.....my thumbs are still non-functional due to Halo 3, and my lleft hand is still bent into a claw-like shape because of Guitar Hero 2 and 3.

Oh, and the Cowboys will ruin the Giants this weekend, unless T.O. doesn't play, in which case it will be far closer than I'd like.

There, did I get everything? (whew) 8)

Hey clyde!! I was just thru your neck of the woods. We came thru Meridian on our way home from Asheville, NC. My sis lives there.

Some of my best friends here are Ole Miss fans. Lemme tell you, they are some good people. They don't hold it against me and David that we are LSU fans. It's just nice to see a little purple and gold up here in central Mississippi. I think Houston Nutt is gonna be a good fit for you all.

The gumbo sounds fabu. David wanted etouffee. I have a really easy recipe committed to memory. I almost set my kitchen on fire making the bananas foster.

We're just having regular old Abita beer. I'm not brave enough for Turbo stuff.

Yawn. The game has lost my interest. I thought it might be more competitive, but it wasn't so. A couple of big plays for Ohio State and that was it for them.

I thought I heard you blow the horn out on I-20 as you went thru. I know your party had to be a blast after the game got going our way. All the people I watched with were excited. There were two things that really got me tickled. The first were the issues of the Times Picayune they were waving around that proclaimed the Tigers were #1 before the game was over. The other was in the latter part of the game when the LSU folks started chanting S-E-C. I have to get my football pleasures vicariously since my boys have been so pitiful lately.
