Saturday is traditionally a very slow TV night, but last night's Steelers-Jaguars playoff game had over 20 million viewers, as compared to ABC's 8.5 million for the presidential debates. Still, ABC's figures were a good bit higher than their usual Saturday night programming and a good bit higher than CBS (repeat of movie High Crimes and 48 Hours Mystery) and Fox (Cops and America's Most Wanted). The debates were skewed heavily towards older viewers.
I would suspect that the debates did better in the Boston and NH markets than nationally.
