I always thought that it got the whore's sauce moniker because it would consist of whatever could be scrounged around the cupboard

Wow, two TOMs. That's fairly surprising.

Well, at least this is a question that anybody who doesn't waste their time watching "Real Housewives" can answer.

Uhhh, not anybody.

I know ZZ Top are known for their long beards. Is "sharp-dressed" also a TOM for this band?

"Sharp Dressed Man" is one of their best-known songs.

Clean shirt, new shoes
And I don't know where I am goin' to
Silk suit, black tie
I don't need a reason why
They come runnin' just as fast as they can
'Cause every girl's crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man

Since legs was capitalized and in quotes, it refers to another well-known (but non-Celtic :) ) song of theirs...

Jeana Tomasina played one of three Muses in a series of ZZ Top videos, which included "Legs" and "Sharp Dressed man". Kym Herrin was another former Playboy centerfold (like Tomasina) who was a muse.

But Marley didn't ask about "Legs".

I need a few, no, make that a lot, of mimosas after reading this thread.
I believe in the usefulness of useless information.

I didn't say that he did. He didn't ask for the lyrics to "Sharp Dressed Man," either.

I assumed Marley didn't even realize that "Legs" was another clue. It peaked way higher on the charts than SDM, in fact.

Drew did say something about there being two TOMs in the question. Since "sharp-dressed" wasn't in quotes in the question, I wasn't even considering song titles in my own question. That was questioning whether the physical description was a trademark for the group, like the beards.

All the lyric-quoting that followed was a bonus, but don't expect it to help me, the next time it comes up in a LS thread.
