$7500
Danielle Staub claims to be one of the first women in New Jersey to own the exclusive "Black" credit card issued by what company?
A. American Express B. Visa
C. MasterCard D. Discover
This is interesting, and potentially challengeable.

I am guessing that they are referring to the American Express Centurion card, popularly called the 'Black Card,' which is available by invitation only, has essentially no limit, apparently requires people to charge something like a minimum of $250,000 per year, etc. The problem is that if this is the answer they want, then the question is badly flawed: the AMEX Black Card is NOT a credit card, it is a charge card (the difference: on a charge card you must pay off the balance every month, whereas on a credit card you can carry a balance from month to month so long as you make some minimum payment each month that's typically less than 5% of the balance). What makes the question even more problematic is that Visa does offer an 'exclusive' Black Card which actually is a credit card. So if they really mean the AMEX card, the question is wrong because the AMEX card is not a credit card.

Of course, if they really do mean the Visa card, then this is really a nasty question, or rather, it has a really nasty distractor, because I don't think many people are aware of the distinction between 'credit cards' and 'charge cards,' and I don't think many people are aware that there is a Visa black card but they do know of the AMEX product.
Innocent, naive and whimsical. And somewhat footloose and fancy-free.

Reminds me of an episode of "Riptide", where the very wealthy client handed the detectives his blue credit card, a card color which did not then exist, for their expenses. Why blue, asked one. It was sky blue, was the reply, as in "The sky's the limit."
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

Wintergreen, you need to rememeber that the question is about what Danielle claimed. I am guessing that she said something like, "You know, I was the first woman in New Jersey to get the Black Amex credit card," on the show.

I'm not sure how it could be challengeable...poor writing aside, I'm guessing Danielle Staub has only claimed to be the first woman in NJ to have one of them (I presume Am Ex). It's the whole Housewives tie in, it's more about being familiar with the show, I think.

What was most amazing to me is that these rich people she had "helping" her couldn't get this. Even this simple country mouse knew the answer.

Since the whole purpose of this week is to promote the "Real Housewives" series and they only bothered to list one real show location in the four choices, it seems overvalued to me.* Unless kusch hasn't been promoting "The Real Housewives of North Dakota" properly. :P

*Not to mention that one of the cast of this particular series was sitting right next to the contestant. Shades of the "N" "O" "R" "M" fastest finger question...

Personally, I'm waiting for "The Real Housewives of Gastonia".

Wintergreen, you need to remember that the question is about what Danielle claimed. I am guessing that she said something like, "You know, I was the first woman in New Jersey to get the Black Amex credit card," on the show.
By Googling I found she never is quoted as saying "credit card", just "card".
