My granddaughter, Leanna, will be induced on Thursday if she doesn't do it naturally before then.

Wow. We've got a genuine BB baby boom!

Congrats, Grandpa Bob.

Thanks. I wasn't expecting to be a double great-grandfather at 57. :(

Holy Moses! And here I am at 55 helping my one and only choose his classes for his freshman year in high school.

Congrats to you and your family.

Congratulations, great-grandpa.

Is this the same granddaughter who has one child aready or a different granddaughter?

Nope, the other one must have been feeling left out.

Yay, babies all around!

I was a grandma at 36, & a grandma 5 more times in 6 years. Now I'm 49 & a grandma of 7! Ranging from less than a day old to 13.

But don'tcha know -- 49 is considered elderly -- at least if you need a mumps vaccine because you didn't get 'em in childhood. Yep, my doctor had to look into proper vaccine recommendations for "the elderly patient!"

We are 41 and soon to be 32 and still cooking the first...we are really lagging behind you! :-)

Big congrats to you and BobJuch on your recent arrivals! Whoever said something about a bored baby boom was right. Is anyone NOT expecting a wee one?!

I hope my family isn't. Ms. 63 and I are done, and none of the next generation are anywhere near old enough to be thinking about that yet. --Bob

We can't have any more.

My girls aren't allowed to date.

My animals are all spayed and neutered.

There is no expectation going on in my house.

Yes...expecting a four-legged baby this spring! 8)

However, fwh asks me about it constantly. We practice all the time  , however, I am 46. I love children, but, I don't think I can have any. Been going thru menopause and have endometriosis.

fuzzy who is happily content being the World's Coolest Aunt! 8)

Baby boom in BB land

Hi All! I haven't been online here in a while, busy with our FIRST Robotics activities at the high school where Fred and I mentor a team, but I was struck by the baby explosion here on the Bored. We are joining the fray as first time grandparents of 57 as well - our daughter Jocelyn and her ever-loving are expecting their first in late April-early May. They know the baby's gender, but aren't telling..... :D

Congratulations, Robyn!

But in case you didn't notice the difference, Bob became a second time great-grandfather at 57.

You mean it means nothing that you posted this in the "It's going to be a girl" thread?!

How exciting for you - happy grandparenting to you and Fred.
