We call him Dr Phil. He is a neurologist, lving and working in New Jersey.
He and his wife have 3 beagles. He came home from work a while back (during hunting season) and went out to walk his dogs. His neighbor had shot an 8 point buck and had not found it as yet.
Let's just say, the beagles found it. It was not dead and very scared or angry or both.
It attacked the smallest beagle. Dr Phil did what any daddy would do and protected Clayton.
Dr Phil got gored.
He is still fighting the infection and attempting to have his puncture wound heal.
yikers.

oh
after they got home from the hospital, Phil went to comfort Clayton and discovered he was also hurt in the melee and they spent the rest of the night in the emergency vet's office.
Clayton is much further along in healing than Dr Phil is.

Oh, my! I'm sending healing thoughts to both Dr. Phil and Clayton.
Both of them deserve merit badges for protecting each other from the Evil Buck.

Ouch. That makes the Evil Squirrels seem like choirboys by comparison.

Somebody want to go over to the neighbor, who let a wounded animal suffer, and give him a stab for me?
I thought the concept was to track the wounded animal and then put it out of it, and now the Dr and dog's misery.
Sheesh! Revoke his hunting permit.

Ouch! Good, healing thoughts to Dr. Phil, Peaby, and those who worry about him.

Painful story, in a lot of ways.
Hoping for quick recoveries.

So, Sting has been out since late morning. He 'got off the mountain'. He went into Poughtown. He does this about twice a year - makes stops at Best Buy and Lowes and Staples and usually brings home stuff we already have, but it makes him feel like he is in charge of his own life, so..... whataver.
Today, along with all the other stuff, he brings home a set of antlers. He is going to send them to Dr Phil. He was most excited that they had the right number of points.
I wonder how he has any friends.

I'm so sorry. I hope his recovery is speedy and complete.
These things should not happen.

Sting just asked me for some red nail polish.
He added some to one point on the antlers in preparation for mailing.
How does he have any friends?

I'll answer that if you can tell me why he's still married.

I keep telling him that I do pick my battles.
He always doubts it, but I do.

That's a nice dance around my question without answering it.

Great.
Let's try something tougher.
What should be our stance about Turkey's incursion into Iraq, given our relationship with Greece?

Turkeys should always be placed on iraq low in the oven. Don't worry about greece or fat, it's holiday time.
