Me neither. Total WWOQ. Unless Donny Deutsch (or, by some miracle, the audience) knew this one cold, there's a good chance that I would've walked as well.

I was pretty sure it was Buzz, but I would have gone for it only if I had the DD left. I think it's mentioned in the book First on the Moon.

Me, neither. I was quite interested in the space program, as a kid. I also enjoyed the HBO series "From the Earth to the Moon" a few year ago and I don't recall hearing any mention of this. In fact, since this would be a private, religious ceremony, I'd expect this would be something that would distinctly not be publicized by NASA. But any little detail buried deep in any little book is $25K material, these days, in WWOQ-land. :|

Once again I ask - if they're gonna do away with the PAF, why do they keep asking questions that only a PAF lifeline could help with?

The beancounters have taken power. They now want personable contestants to walk away with $5,000 to $15,000 and never mind the only word that Meredith left in the title of the show.

I acknowledge the comparisons to the winnings on J! and that TPTB's budget may leave them no choice. I just wish they hadn't ripped out the heart of the show. Do like 5th Grader did when it moved from prime time to syndication and just slash the money tree, but stop building these ridiculous barriers to the upper tier. :|

Actually, it was an entire scene in "From the Earth to the Moon". During the radio blackout, Aldrin brought out a packet that contained a tiny chalice, a pouch of wine, and a small host. He asked Neil Armstrong if it was alright with him, becuse it was something that he had to do.

NASA decided not to publicize the event after Madelyn O'Hair raised a legal stink over the Bible reading (Genesis 1-10) at Christmas by the Apollo 8 crew. (Also referenced in the scene.)

Shit- I totally forgot this scene was in that series.

Of course, I only watched the whole thing once.

Thank you for saving me the time to double-check that. I thought I had rememberd correctly.
