I watched the first half hour before coming into work, this morning.
Do I have to watch any more? Ever?
I want to smack those parents silly. Especially the Moms who are living vicariously through their child. I liken it to a passive aggressive form of child abuse!kayrharris wrote:MarleysGh0st wrote:Goodness!

We can only hope these little girls don't grow up so scarred they won't ever get over
it. I don't how far into the show one them says "I love myself" or something to that
effect while she's admiring herself in the mirror.![]()

They should assess penalty points for any parents who gets out of their chair!kayrharris wrote:MarleysGh0st wrote:Who is in the audience for these events, aside from all the family members of the entrants?
Can't say as I've noticed a big crowd at any of them, so I would say it's only parents and
maybe a grandparent or two. It really is aggravating the way they let the mothers get up and parade around and yell when their kids are up on stage. Sit down and act civilized for God's sake!!!

Saucy!!! How could you say anything so insensitive!?!?!?a1mamacat wrote:and, sorry in advance for the following extremely polically Incorrect statement....
when you are the size of a mac truck, demonstrating the moves of a hootchiemama in the audience to remind your daughter of what to do on stage, is most unpleasant for anyone to watch.

Mostly, I think they're busy working to pay for the tens of thousands of dollars their wives are spending on the little princesses.ulysses5019 wrote:Where are the dads? Are they doing a show on toddlers and trucker caps?
I can speak for Matias' mom a little bit on this. About a million years ago, her mom took her to Colorado Miss or something because she was the most beautiful and talented kid in Colorado, and her mom wanted everybody to have the opportunity to recognize that. I gotta say, though, times have changed. There were no $500 flippers that would be used once, no three hours of hair and makeup, no parents in the audience coaching their kids during the talent portion. She did get a very pricey party dress but used her regular gymnastics outfit for her talent routine.geoffil wrote:I don't understand why anyone would put their child thru a pageant. Kids are never chosen to be in modeling or commercials via a pageant. It is not how kids are picked to be models not to mention, the kids don't seem to get anything good out of it.
My daughter did some modeling and her agency always said to dress her like a kid, no make-up and natural hair. There are hundreds and hundreds of cute kids in Chicago and the competition is unbelievable. If a child was unhappy and didn't want to be at the audition, the casting agencies didn't force any child to be there. Most of the time at the auditions, the kids got a little toy or lots of candy and they always told the kids they did great and were so cute.
At a photo shoot, my daughter didn't want to model the backpack for the ad. As soon as she said no, the client said ok no problem, we will use her for something else and we left. They always have backups for commercials and photo shoots. If a child isn't used they still get 50% of the regular fee.

Now what about that "Hoarders" show you wanted me to watch? When is that on?
No she's not, the Nuggets have had games the past few nights. Give her time to catch up, would ya???ulysses5019 wrote:MarleysGh0st wrote:So, Fanny, why haven't you posted any replies in this thread? If you were waiting for me the suffer through the rest of the episode, I did that last night, okay?

She's busy pining over her lack of a Valpak.
I don't think the Nuggets even bothered to show up Wednesday night....kayrharris wrote:No she's not, the Nuggets have had games the past few nights. I don't think he likes to, I think it just happens. He makes his post, and doesn't worry about the aggravation factor.SportsFan68 wrote:That he does.kayrharris wrote:littlebeast13 wrote:
