Lyrically Speaking - 1/2/08

I was quite honored when LB decided to let me host the first of his Wacky Wednesday games. Well, not quite as honored as I was to win that Oscar®.... or the Nobel Peace prize.... or even as honored as I was to be Bubba's lookout in the White House for 8 years. But it was nice nonetheless.
First of all, if you choose to play today's game, please shut your computers off first. I want this to be as green a game as possible, and all efforts should be made to conserve energy since I may need it one day for the kick-ass home theater system I'm installing.
OK, now on to the game I wrote for you all today. It's a dire warning of things to come if we don't all start acting like the brave Chicken Little. You'll get 1 point for the correct title, 1 point for the correct artist, and 100 points off of your carbon footprint if you send me a gift should I decided to try out this politics business again....
1. Six o'clock TV hour
Don't get caught in foreign tower
Slash and burn, return
Listen to yourself churn
2. The shadows high on the darker side
Behind those doors, it's a wilder ride
You can make a break, you can win or lose
That's a chance you take
3. Moving forwards, using all my breath
Making love to you was never second best
4. The girl is at your side, are you gonna do it
She wants to be your bride, are you gonna do it
5. The city is crowded
My friends are away
And I'm on my own
It's too hot to handle
So I got to get up and go
6. What to do - On a night like this
Music sweet - I can't resist
We need a party song - A fundamental jam
7. You're old enough to kill but not for votin',
You don't believe in war, what's that gun you're totin',
And even the Jordan river has bodies floatin'
8. Here is the dome back with the bass
The jam is live in effect and I don't waste time
Off the mic with a dope rhyme jump to the rhythm
Jump jump to the rhythm jump
And I'm here to combine beats and lyrics
9. I don't have digital
I don't have diddly squat
It's not having what you want
It's wanting what you've got
10. I need you to get up up on the dance floor
Give that man what he askin for
Cuz I feel like bustin loose and I feel like touchin you
And cant nobody stop the juice so baby tell me whats the use
11. Whenever I'm with him
Something inside
Starts to burnin'
And I'm filled with desire
12. At seventeen we fell in love
High school sweethearts,
love was so brand new
We took the vows of man and wife
Forever, for life

I was quite honored when LB decided to let me host the first of his Wacky Wednesday games. Well, not quite as honored as I was to win that Oscar®.... or the Nobel Peace prize.... or even as honored as I was to be Bubba's lookout in the White House for 8 years. But it was nice nonetheless.

Scoring note: Since otherindigo admitted to moving an answer in edit mode after she noticed she placed it in after the wrong number, I gave her half credit for that song (1 point instead of 2). From now on, however, please do not edit your answers after you post them, with the sole exception of if you are adding the spoiler tags. Of course, it's all on the honor system, but I am much more trusting than others around here that no flimflammery is going on in the game (Where is my old friend Pumpkin__Eater?)
