Mere: You might have my favorite name of any contestant ever, this is the 8th season. This is Lovi Yu from Coon Rapids, MN. What a great name. Do people when you say it don't believe you?
Lovi: They always ask me if my parents loved Gilligan's Island, because they would assume "Lovey"
Mere: Is that how you got the name
Lovi: My parents couldn't decide, and they brought me home from the hospital, and apparently someone said little lovely baby, and my four year old brother couldn't say "lovely" he didn't quite understand the words so he said lovi, that's my lovi baby. And they stuck with it.
Mere: Awww, that's a sweet way to get your name, well, we're thrilled to have you here.

Lovi said Owl, C final answer, then immediately gasped and covered her face. There were gasps in the audience afterwards, Mere said sorry a couple of times, and that Lovi knew it after she said it.
Lovi said "Oh my god" and Mere asks her to stay in her seat and says that this happens sometimes.

Lovi is a true sweetheart. I felt bad for her.

Lovi was my favorite person in the greenroom that day - probably everyone's favorite that day. You could always tell from the time period between phone calls requesting new contestants how well someone had done. A collective groan went up from us all when the phone rang within minutes of the last notification.

Lovi, if you're reading this, why didn't you tell me you were a BB? It would have saved me alot of confused and creeped-out looks when I was sidling up to people that day, murmering "Excuse me, but are you ever known as . . . chipotle?"
