Were the question writers beery when they made this the first question of a stack?

I had not heard of the term beery before either but I would have picked it because it was the most logical. I thought jello-shotty was a crappy 4th choice that would also have fit but knowing the 4th choice was a joke answer on the 1st question I would never have picked it. Did anyone else notice that there was no laughter after the option was given? I learned that the audience is instructed to laugh heartily at the 4th option during the preshow warm up.

The warm-up guy instructs the audience to laugh at anything that is even mildly amusing as if it was the funniest thing they've ever heard.

But, this time, maybe the audience was thrown by that beery question, just like the contestant.
