P.S. I Love You

#1 Post by peacock2121 » Thu Dec 27, 2007 12:05 pm

The girls saw it.

The boys did not.

We were glad the boys were not there.

I would not have cast Hillary Swank in it.

And what does the PS supposedly stand for in the Beatles' version?

I'll probably end up seeing it when it comes out on video. It sounds like one of the flicks that BD prefers.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

Peggy Sue, as in the Buddy Holly song.

It was an homage, of sorts. At least that's what I've heard.

Not a Beatles expert though. We'll have to ask TBone or fishie later.

Me, too. I enjoy chick flicks, but am comfortable with my sexuality. We got Stardust last weekend on a whim, when I saw it on the video at Blockbuster. I like Neil Gaiman's stuff in general. Fun flick, and DeNiro is a hoot. I'll still never forgive him for what he did to Rocky & Bullwinkle, though.

If you haven't seen him in Phantom of the Opera, you should rent it.

I was so intent on making sure I got this dvd for Christmas, I ended up with two of them. Want one, Peaby?

That's a new one on me. Interesting. Could very well be. McCartney has always been a huge fan of Buddy Holly.

Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

I will see this soon, most likely by myself at a matinee. And I will cry. I just know I will.
