Lynn is fun to watch, clearly smart and good under pressure. e.g., you could tell from her face that she'd never heard of "currywurst" but she had no trouble immediately and confidently going for the obvious answer. Witness also her quick elimination process on the $12.5K Obituaries question to deduce another one she apparently didn't know.

In light of this, I was surprised that she "wasted" the ATE lifeline on the $15K Competitions question, rather than immediately noticing the two obvious choices and going right to the DD.

(Especially given how useless Ms. Poundstone has been as an expert.)

I blame the clock. Or perhaps she thought Paula might've heard of something so silly as the "World Sauna Championships."

Since neither Hindus nor Muslims care for pork sausage, I wouldn't think India would be much of a distractor.
