Rats, December is almost over, so it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to make it into the Hot 100.

But I know you're not going to let him rest easy in spot #48.

Heck, you're making me uncomfortable, just seeing your post count here on the Raspberry Bored being ahead of mine!

Just like Sprots has an insurmountable lead from some frenzied activities on a long-departed incarnation of the Bored. But there's something about seeing the current Bored totals posted with each message that draws one's attention, even when it shouldn't. 8)

No lead in the rankings is insurmountable given the passage of time (Hey, we've already been here for 8 years, and we continue to prove Ace's prediction wrong with each passing year).

Had the TUB not been short circuited, you would have probably passed Pea within a year or so. Given Raspberry Bored posting trends, Pea could possibly pass Sprots by the end of the decade... though posting trends tend not to stay constant for long periods of time....

If he didn't spend all this time, week after week, down through the years, keeping track, nobody would pay the least bit of attention to statistics like this. There wouldn't even be any statistics!

That sounds like one of those "If a tree falls in the woods" arguments...

Did I create the statistics by my keeping track, or are the statistics there anyway and I bring them to light? The rankings can be very philosophical.... :P

Just over 200 posts needed to reach the next Gus!

I've never gotten one, and am not really sure where the name came from. Was that part of the Bored History that I missed in Beast's amazing Quiz?

I'll leave the authoritative answer to beastie, but yes, it's in honor of the holder of Post numero uno on one of the prior incarnations, whose handle was gusgerbils.

And Gus was a real gerbil, who has been immortalized as a Merry Man who ought to be showing up any time now. Unless he's one of mini's; she seems to be preoccupied today.
