I, unfortunately, knew the JB question. Frankie is actually the youngest brother; he's ten or so, and is known as the "Bonus Jonas."

KenJen turns in another disappointing turn as the "Expert", whiffing on a simple pop culture question.

Nick dated Miley Cyrus.

Joe dumped Taylor Swift via a phone message. (What a dumb move!)

I guess don't ask Ken pop culture. The audience turned in only 40% too, perhaps they were older-skewing that day. FWIW this was one I knew, even the Bonus Jonas, because the radio station I listened to on Long Island bombarded us with Jonas stuff and since then I heard the Kevin engagement story on the news.

So at least Ken is vindicated on that detail.

Simple pop culture if you're a tweenage fan, perhaps. Maybe if Ken's kids were old enough to be fans, he'd have had a chance with this; otherwise, this was one of the least likely categories to be in his wheelhouse.

When the Jonas question came up, my immediate thought was "I'd like to call Annie and Molly".

Do you think it's possible that now that Ken Jen is a celebrity and not an avid wannabe gameshow contestant, that he doesnt pay attention to 'new' trivia?

Or maybe this pop culture stuff is so new that it is not regarded as true 'trivia'?

I would not consider this a "whiff." He didn't even get a chance to answer, as the contestant rejected him for what turned out to be a true preliminary statement.

This looks like a WWOQ®. Is this really common enough knowledge for it to be valued at $12,500? I'd ask KenJen and hope for the best; otherwise, I'd be using my last lifeline (PAF).

Agreed- I have a daughter the right age, otherwise forget me knowing this.

Ken does not have a child this age.

It wasn't a true opening statement.

Frankie is not a member of the band.

The question reads "Which Jonas brother"; it doesn't specify a member of the Jonas Brothers band. If Frankie is indeed their brother and is indeed named Jonas, you're being awfully picky. And since Casey dismissed Ken's authority as an expert the instant he made that statement, she didn't give him an opportunity to expand on his reasoning.

You're right.

Nice to see Regis being acknowledged by CindyBAM. I wore a "Regis" tie for my first appearance on PTBAM - I told Regis about it and at the end of the show, as the credits were rolling, he actually looked to make sure.

I'd have burned through lifelines also on this one, starting with ATA. The disappointing percentages would have made me choose between PAF and ATE.

And here go my other lifelines. If I had used PAF on the Jonas question, it'd be time for ATE here and hope KJ knows the answer. I wouldn't use DD because I wouldn't be able to narrow the choices.
