Depression Alert

I just want to let everyone know that I will likely be very depressed tomorrow: since it will be the day after Christmas, it means that NEXT Christmas will be 366 days away-- a particularly bad situation, because next year is a Leap Year, so I have an extra day to wait. Plus, next year Thanksgiving will be the second latest that it can ever be, so that the Christmas season (which everyone know begins the day after Christmas) will be shorter than usual, and later than usual. This will depress me.

My new avatar shows two of our trees: the forward one is the live tree in the family room, the one in the back is the fake tree in my library. This was taken during the family Christmas party last week. I will be staring at these trees tomorrow, trying to get my spirits up, and will appreciate any positive thoughts beamed this way.

I am looking forward to Mr. Kelley's DoA game, because the day after Christmas, I might as well be dead.

But I will be ok the day after that; I go through the five stages of grief pretty quickly, and will have reached 'acceptance' by dinner time tomorrow.

Man, I love this time of year.

Beautiful trees. I'm impressed.

Taking them down is the worst. I hate it. I usually do it New Year's morning.

Hmmm. That doesn't seem to be the avatar I see. You definitely seem to need something though--fresh air? Sunshine? A drop of eggnog?

I missed the Christmas tree picture!

Christmas will get closer each day. Anticipation is a wonderful thing.

oh, wintergreen!

I love this time of the year, too.

But, because of the upheaval here, we didn't put out either the little village, the big stable or penguin house.

TLAF had the small stable at the shore and a basket of Christmas ornaments.

It's just not the same. So, like you, I am eagerly anticipating next Christmas.

Although not so much that I want to skip over summer.
