OK, 4 hours in the books here in the closed federal courthouse.
So far,
0 - phone calls
0 - emails
0- sightings of other humans
Will any of these change by the time I leave here at 5 pm?
Take your best guess.

I have the day off anyway, and SteelersFan called about an hour to go let me know that I won!!!
What did I win? His company is closing at noon, so I won taking him to lunch.
I won Sports Trivia last week, so I'll take him to the hot wings place with my Major Award.
I'll post the Sports Trivia Q I won on in a separate thread. I challenge y'all to answer it without looking it up like it did.

Unless you are the Chief Judge of the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals I'm going to have to pass.
If you are the Chief Judge of the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals then I'll be working hard for the rest of the day just as I am supposed to.

I don't know. No one in her chamber answered the door buzzer when I dropped off some mail this morning but that is not conclusive one way or the other.
It's not that big a deal. They are paying me pretty well to hang out here today. I just like to complain.

Less than 10 minutes to go.
Final tally,
0 - phone calls
0 - emails
1 - sightings of other humans
The mail carrier came in and delivered the mail.
So Cal got one right.

Chief Justice would serve you well to decide to only be open a half day next Christmas Eve. If I were Chief Justice, that's what I would do...if I wasn't allowed to give you the whole day off.
Have a safe trip home and a safe and happy holiday.
