I think the appearance of Stephen Colbert threw her off. While watching the DVR my son said that Jon Stewart was the only news he watched.

I was surprised at the ATA results. I figured the similarity in A and D might cause A to get the "strong second" vote.

I said "C" but then when I reread the question I second-guessed myself. I knew there was a movie by that name and thought that was what the question was asking. When I saw "novel", I changed my answer. Had I been in the HS, I might have gone with the right answer for the wrong reason.

I really wanted Jillian to ask for Tom DeLay's help on this one. Unlike the Prohibition question, he couldn't say this was before his time in Congress.

Time for another mnemonic! 8)
BRITISH HEREDITARY TITLES

Here is a mnemonic with which to remember the order of precedence of the ranks of the British aristocracy:

"Does Mi'lord Ever Visit Brighton Beach?"

(Duke, Marquis, Earl, Viscount, Baron, Baronet)

The title "Count" is not used. William the Conqueror tried to introduce it to replace the Anglo-Saxon "Earl", but failed - although an Earl's wife is still called a "Countess".

That is a PAF killer and considerably undervalued at 25K (unless you're playing UK millionaire).

You think so?

I can see someone maybe thinking A, because Duke had to be the last one, but British titles come up a great deal in pop culture (especially movies).

Yeah, but knowing the lyrics to 'Duke of Earl' would have been useless.

I couldn't get that damn song out of my head during the question. It was no help! Just like how To Kill a Mockingbird didn't teach me a thing about killing mockingbirds! lol

Like Mr. DeLay, I thought A was correct... but that was not based on anything concrete. I would've used my PAF.

Not enough to put them in order.

And with 30 seconds to do it.
