Sci_Fi Sounds Quiz

#1 Post by themanintheseersuckersuit » Sun Dec 23, 2007 3:32 pm

Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

I wish they would tell you what the right answers are.

My results:
Your Score : 92 credits
You're an extreme sci-fi geek! You're probably wearing your very own homemade TRON costume right now!

Unfortunately, I don't have a TRON costume. But I do have my own homemade LARP [Live-action role-playing] costumes in the garage.
* Either Arglebargle IV or someone else.

A 79 for me, which put me in the "extreme geek" territory, although I suspect I just made "the cut".

I got a feeble 49.

SOX can explain why.

My story is that I'm not geeky enough.

56... and a lot of them were guesses. I'm a geek, just not sci-fi-ish, I guess.

Code: Select all

<table>
	<tr>
		<td><a><img></a></td>
		<td><span><span>I received <b>92 credits</b> on <br><a>The Sci Fi Sounds Quiz</a></span><br><span>How much of a Sci-Fi geek are you?</span></span></td>
	</tr>
	<tr>
		<td><a>Take the Sci-Fi Movie Quiz</a> <a>canon s5 is</a></td>
	</tr>
</table>

Apparently no idea how to make the code work but managed a 92 thanks to a couple of guesses. Toughest ones for me were 10, which I guessed correctly, and 13, which I had no clue about and did not get correct.

A couple more passes to figure out 13 and I have the correct answers for those who are curious.
Spoiler
1. 2 Close Encounters of the Third Kind
2. 1 HAL 9000
3. 4 Frankenstein
4. 3 Forbidden Planet
5. 2 Alien
6. 1 War of the Worlds (1953)
7. 4 Tie Fighter from Star Wars
8. 2 Robocop
9. 4 Logan's Run
10. 1 Them! (1954)
11. 3 Star Trek
12. 1 Jurassic Park
13. 3 Earth vs. The Flying Saucers (Had never heard of this one)
14. 2 Tron
