'Kitty' has this obsession of laying in baskets, buckets, etc. This is our napkin/salt & pepper shaker basket on our dining room aka present wrapping table.
Lest anyone get to carried away with the 'awwww' factor, this is the most aloof, non-affectionate domesticated animal ever............

We call them "cat traps" at our house. An empty box or basket usually will catch at least one cat at our house.

I'm betting the dark gray and white hairball who just deigned to grace me with her presence could give your "Kitty" a run for her money.

Definitely cute!
One thing I bet you noticed is that it might have been a planned situation (photo op?) with Kitty in the basket. Kitty gets in basket, you walk by, you grab camera and poof here's a cute picture of Kitty. I bet Kitty didn't exactly try to run away when you brought out the camera, so I'm guessing it was done on purpose. LOL
HAHA on the cat trap description. I'll have to try that one out on the family to see if they giggled like I did!

Awwwwwwwwwww . . . what a sweet kitty...
I'm actually glad there are some such hairballs. I was told a while back that there is no such thing, that every cat owner ... OK, everybody who's ever been owned by a cat ... she'd ever met would say that while all other cats are aloof and non-affectionate, their own cat is the most lovingest, sweetest disposition, blah blah blah.
GinaCattabridgida could be very aloof, we used to call her MissPrissyButt, and then when YetiGirl came along we started calling her PBJ -- MissPrissyButtJr. However, when she wanted anything, good grief -- Gina transformed into MissCongeniality. She used to cadge treats all over the neighborhood. Then came the darkest day of her life -- we moved into a little subdivision eight miles out of town where there were no older folks at home all day. She was probably mad at us the rest of her life. She got her revenge, though -- she taught PBJ how to transform from Gracie Hart into Miss Congeniality Gracie Lou Freebush in an eyeblink.
