As last night's substitute transcriptionist, I have to thank Mo for being much more concise than he was with his rapid-fire ramblings during the prime time show. But would it have killed him to give a direct and rational response to Robin's request for confirmation? I do like that Feed the Birds song--it still can bring a tear to my eye--but it doesn't actually refer to Trafalgar Square, IIRC.

Or should any musical reference to London be interpreted as a "I'm 100% sure of this" response?

I knew the $100K from having read The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich and other William Shirer booksfairly religiously. In several of his books, Shirer recounts Hitler's famous speech that was in response to a letter FDR sent him in 1939, asking him if he would guarantee that he would refrain from attacking of 31 nations that FDR listed in his letter (one of which was Ireland). Hitler gave a mocking reply to FDR in the speech, and Shirer made a big point about how clever it was that Hitler used the Gaelic word when he was talking about Ireland (as a way of pointing out that Ireland probably had more to fear from the UK than Germany).

Trivia knowledge can truly come from anywhere.

I deduced Taoiseach by thinking:

Hmmmm. Taoiseach Walesa? That doesn't ring a bell.

And Conan O'Brein would've made a joke about he title when he was being compared to the Finnish Prime Minister a few years ago.

And every Icelandic word I'm familiar with has either several accents or several Ks. Let's go with Ireland.
