jsuchard on Crosswords
Retroactive good luck to jsuchard, whose episode of Crosswords airs Friday, October 12, as the second show in two-a-day markets. --Bob

I've never been the recipient of a "Sticky" before.

Do you suppose takinover will be able to work some magic so those of us without access can watch?
Retroactive good luck, in advance.

Good show Jeff, I thoroughly enjoyed watching.
Saw the Sticky and looked on the net to see when the show aired here in Wichita, it was 1:29 p.m. when I found it, lol. The show aired at 1:30 p.m. Someone was watching out for me, especially considering I am not home at this time of day, today was an exception.

"Too" intense! Well played! What determines how much puzzle remains to be solved at the end? The puzzle in the previous game was a lot more filled in.

You are right that the final board in my game had quite a bit left to finish, and more than typical in other episodes. There were several rules changes that occurred after my show was taped. One of these changes was that the "Crosswords Extras", which had initially all been words that were not part of the overall puzzle (and therefore "Extra"neous to the entire puzzle), were made to be words that were part of the overall puzzle. If there are two or three of these "Extras", then that is two or three more words that have been filled in by the time you get to the final round, since every word gets filled in whether the player gets the "Extra" correct or not.

Thank you. Yes, that is a mighty significant difference.

I actually felt sorry for his competitors! It was what D Day would have looked like had the Germans already retreated from France!

Honestly, I have no idea. I've assuming it's one-a-day. I had to look up on which station it aired.Bob Juch wrote:I'll bet that was the first show of the day. Are you in a one-a-day market or a two-a-day one?otherindigo wrote:Well boo.
I set the DVR to record it, sat down to watch it, and well no one even resembling jsuchard was on the show. ugh

In that case (and I'm in the same boat,) we'll get to see jsuchard's show later in the year, when the two-a-day-people are looking at reruns.otherindigo wrote:Honestly, I have no idea. I had the pleasure of joining the jsuchard family at their viewing party last night. The show was fun, and I heartily recommend that those who can make an effort to watch it, if you haven't already. The company, as always, was superb and the food will undoubtedly be reflected on the next edition of Bob's Log.
This was the first time in a while that I'd seen PlacentiaSoccerKid, the elder, and I barely recognized her. The nom de screen has clearly become inapposite, and it's a transition she carries with grace. Of course, I'd expect no less from that family, but it's impressive nonetheless.

Of course the company was great, I only met JS not his better half, but someday maybe all of the OC BB's and LA BB's should meet up again for some fun. I saw the show as it aired yesterday because I took some time off given that I worked in Santa Monica all of today.

Watched the show tonight after I got back in town.

I was sweating for you after the Appomatox response. It can get very dicey when you move to the back row in the closing minutes, but I was thrilled when you came back up front.
It took me a moment to realize your strategy during the final round. Rules shifts play havok on the mind.
You played an awesome game. Enjoy the winnings!
