Google is getting smarter with its suggested searches. On the $50K question I typed the first five or six letters of chitarra and among the top suggestions were
Chitarra pasta
Chitarra pasta maker
Chitarra pasta cutter
This could have been prompted by the show airings (I watched later in the day) but the suggested matches make it faster for a Google PAF.

The $100K I thought the distractors were weak for the level. Overall an easy stack for me although I did not know the pasta one at all until the Google giveaway.

$15K: The only one of those three that I've heard of is S&P. Don't know if it's a brokerage house or an investment-rating agency. Double Dip.

$25K: No clue. Let's try ATA.

$50K: Despite all the Food Network that I watch, I have never heard of this device. PAF.

I'm going for $250K with ATE.

Was this really such a historic sporting event stunt that people should remember it? It sounded more like a "go with the obvious" first tier question to me.

This was a pretty major event. You should read up about it and learn how out of hand it got.

And here on the Bored, we should know it- lb loves to refer to it!

Thanks for the link, uly.

Still sounds like just an ordinary soccer riot in Europe, to me. Aside from the disco records.

They should have saved her for "real housewives" week.

Any comments, christie???

Tsk, tsk - using a lifeline this early.

Wasn't this one of Bill Veeck's promotional ideas?

I'd have been torn between A (because of a similar question about a mandolin slicer) and D (because of the strings), so might as well Double Dip.

I'd have reasoned that it wasn't B because of the "Midwestern corn-fed girl" image, but the other three are plausible (I don't recall seeing too many obese native New Yorkers in the city). Time for the PAF lifeline and hope it's a gettable question.
