Don't the transcripts usually include Bored Handles in parentheses in the subject line? This contestant is FloridaGirl.

Luckily, the earrings in question in the $5K question had a reasonable name...only way I knew it.

I'm wondering if FlaGirl will tell us if she was being distracted by Fidel Castro being one of the choices. I thought "Che" before the answers came up, and then was momentarily distracted when I saw Castro as a choice.

Oops blame the rookie transcriber for that error. Thanks to whoever corrected me...

Good for you in not using a lifeline. I'll be interested in your thoughts about the questions.

I didn't even see her introduced! They just started in with the first question. Was that how everyone else saw the tape or did my local station cut that out to fit in an extra commercial?

Since the language is Spanish, I figure most who are not familiar with it would narrow it to those two and make it a good Double Dip question, as often that lifeline is left unused by those walking with 15/16K or 50K anyway.

Great so far and I look forward to your finish today, if in fact you finish your run today. :D

Question for FloridaGirl. When did you find out about the "new" money tree? If you found out the day of your taping, did it change any of your "coming" in strategy?

She probably decided to give the right answer to all the questions.

FloridaGirl ought to be strategizing to stretch her run all the way to Monday, if that is possible (Damn clock, maybe a lot of perky fluff between the questions is possible), to get a different ATE to use on the 1MM question.

We need another lifeline: Switch The Expert.

Maybe they could borrow some appropriate special effects for that one, like some of Nickelodian's green slime, or a trap door from Russian Roulette.

Meredith is probably crediting Ali with a "correct" response for her 20% confident guess of "men" the other day.

Spoiler
From some of her posts, I think we can intuit this does not happen.

I'm also betting, from her tone in those posts, that Ali was not good to her, either, and we aren't going to see Liz flash her nice smile during any use of the ATE lifeline.

Hahaha! This is so funny, you guys! It's going to take me a few minutes to figure out how to go in and respond to all of these, not mentally, but technically. I don't have to worry about the spoiler stuff, right?

Well... for this thread, you have to speak as though your second show has not been seen yet. Does that make sense? :)

Yep! Makes sense. Thanks, heelsrule! I'm finally here and commenting. Better late than never. :) My husband had his wisdom teeth removed so I've been playing nurse for the past couple days. :)

Question for FloridaGirl. When did you find out about the "new" money tree? If you found out the day of your taping, did it change any of your "coming" in strategy?
We found out about the new money tree that morning. No, it didn't really change my strategy. I went in knowing that in order to be life-changing money, I'd need to get to $250,000 which would pay off our mortgage (really, 1/2 of that, but I was taking taxes into account  ), so I was prepared to be risky, which is why I went for it on the last question -- which I don't think I can talk about in this thread, so I'll do it on that one. Gosh, I'm so happy I can finally talk about this stuff!
