This will not work. He will hire a new coach and fire him next year--regrettably taking the coaching burden on himself. The players will rebel, he will be pugnacious, and the whole thing will be over in no more than three years. Then they will have to start over.

This is being done for show--not to rebuild a once proud franchise.

I have no idea what this means, but I will bet you are right.

He's referring to Bill Parcells going to work in the front office of the Miami Dolphins organization, announced yesterday afternoon. He isn't going to coach the team but will be involved in decisions that will shape the team.

The Dolphins?

The team that looked like they might not win any games this year?

How can he do wrong?

I agree here. Say what you will about Parcells. He will turn the Dolphins around. He may not be there when they become successful, but they will not have to start over. They will only need to pick up from where he left off, and it will be with a winning team. Look at what he did with the Cowboys.

Can you say 'they had to start over'? Wade Phillips takes over and goes 12-1, their best start ever.

"Sometimes you have to hire the Devil so when he leaves he'll take all the demons with him."

Hey, I kind of like that quote I just made up.

I rather like that myself. It'd make a great sig.
