For some unknown reason postage stamp costs are never a round number, so it's not A or D. I just happened to see a snopes article about President Obama ordering the USPS to produce a Muslim stamp, and the picture showed a stamp costing 42 cents, so I'd go with B.

Well, not never.

It was 10 cents from 1974-1975, and 20 cents in 1981.

That's what I was thinking. I was just too lazy to look up the details.

I've collected too many things over the years. The stamp collection was long ago and far away. The dust collection is all too new. :)
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

I was screaming "NO!!!" at the TV when he agreed with his PaF.

What rock have these 2 people been living under the past few months? Is our society getting that used to e-mail that some people don't pay attention to how much a stamp costs?

PS-I hope the Post Office doesn't get any ideas from this

As I mentioned in another thread, I'm using the Forever stamps now, which makes it easier to forget about their cost. Just one trip to the post office to ask for a couple sheets of stamps, and then there's no longer a reminder with each letter that "this needs 44 cents". So, even though I did remember this answer, I can understand someone not remembering.

I think they ought to make all first class stamps Forever stamps, but that's another discussion.

In a conversation with Brian he stated that in New York he does not go to the post office to purchase stamps, he purchases them at a convience store and the last one he purchased cost him $.50. That is why he went with his PAF.

Welcome, supportivemom.

You wouldn't happen to be Brian's supportive mom, by any chance?

Recently I cleaned up and discovered I had a few Christmas 41c stamps, a few 39c stamps, a bunch of 37c stamps, a few "F-series" stamps with no amount on them, and two old 25c stamps that still need to be licked. Got a bunch of penny stamps and used the 41s. Soon Brian's PAF figure will be the right amount, and I could use those two 25c on one envelope.

Supportive Mom, welcome to the Bored!

My mom followed me into the Syndi hot seat a year after I flamed out, and she also flamed out. But we both had a great time and we won 33K between us.

Oh, I forgot to mention something else about the beginning of the 9/9/09 show: Meredith actually said the full name of the show!

There was a question about the price of stamps last year too, wasn't there? I use the Forever stamps too. Except I bought two books of Christmas stamps to send out cards last year, but I was feeling so awful with morning sickness I never got around to doing it. Those stamps lasted me until May. Each time I used one I felt them judging me.
