$25,000 and $50,000 were cupcake questions, which we expected to happen on the last show, given all of the spoilers.

The $100,000 question was valued properly. Unless you've paid attention to box office sales figues every week this year, this one was a challenge. I was pretty sure it wasn't "The Hangover", as it hasn't been in theaters long enough to be the top grosser of the year. I could've seen any of the other three choices being correct. This looks like a good question for the audience. If nothing stands out, I'll also PAF.

For the $100,000, if anyone's interested in studying movie stats like this, a great site to go to is boxofficemojo.com.

I go there all the time for various movie stats- it's the only reason I knew this one.

BTW- here is the famous "Cowbell" skit.

Classic!

What I always found funny about this is that in the original track, you hear the cowbell, but it's not that loud.

Makes you wonder how the scriptwriters' minds worked, that they focused on this!

Found it.

Yeah, I'm a member at BOM, so I thought this was a cupcake as well, but I can see how it can be tricky if you are not particularly following stuff like that. Star Trek, Up, and TF2 have all been the top grosser of the year at some point, but at the time of taping (August 5?), Transformer's had been out for only about three weeks. I can see why Up and Star Trek were the more appealing choices, since both came out in May and I guess that created the illusion that they've had more time to build up their moneys.

"West Indies" for $50,000 is probably in the same ballpark as "Lesotho" for $1 million.
In this town, don't we love it now, everbody's waiting for the next surprise!

One thing people always ought to keep in mind regarding movies- they usually make a sizable portion of their gross in the first week or two of release.

The transcript for the previous show indicates that the category tree wasn't shown then. Would anyone be able to check if this episode shows the 100-16K categories? I'm just looking to make the spreadsheet as complete as possible. Thanks!
