Dead or Alive? Game 18 12/18/07

Identify the following people as Dead or Alive. Then see if you can guess the theme. My notes had today’s theme as one word. There are a couple of more familiar names masquerading here. Extra bonus points if you can identify the akas in this list. Also, if you figure out the theme, more names should suggest themselves to you. A maximum of one bonus point per person on this list for each of these additional names. Enjoy!

1. Jay Johnson
2. Shari Lewis
3. Ronn Lucas (just for lb)
4. Pinkus Wilchinski
5. Jeff Dunham
6. Ray Alan
7. Wayland Flowers
8. Jim Barber
9. Wayne Federman
10. Wenceslao Moreno

Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Hmm, a bit confusing about the names you mentioned, especially since I know the category. Are you asking for some of there, um, alter egos?

One (well two now) of my favorite weeks on Letterman were the ventriloquist weeks!

1. Jay Johnson A - Most known for Bob but I liked Darwin on Letterman!
2. Shari Lewis D - Lamb Chop of course
3. Ronn Lucas (just for lb) A - Scortch, tried to see him in Vegas last trip but he was apparently "between venues" at the time.
4. Pinkus Wilchinski D? Sounds familiar but not sure why
5. Jeff Dunham A - Peanut and Walter!
6. Ray Alan D? Not familiar with him
7. Wayland Flowers D - Madame
8. Jim Barber A - Seville
9. Wayne Federman A? - Don't know him
10. Wenceslao Moreno D - Senor Wences, don't recall what his truly genuine "hand" puppet was called.

Bleah, even after carefully reading the instructions, I think I misunderstood them. At least if I did, I have company. Ha!

Although, if I did read them wrong, I got one right by accident
