$16K-easy recent pop culture question. I saw the video played a lot on those entertainment shows.

$25K-easy for me. I've read a lot of books about Watergate, and recently borrowed "Frost/Nixon" from the library-very good movie if you haven't seen it yet.

I think Gwen Ifil should have known that Tip O'Neill wasn't even Speaker of the House in 1974! I don't think he got that job until Reagan took office in 1981.

$25K: No clue here. Didn't think it would be Gerald Ford, as that seemed too obvious for a $25K question. I wasn't sure if Tip O'Neill had become Speaker yet. I've always associated him with the 1980s. I would've done what Jennifer had done: asked Gwen Ifill. Of course, her answer of Tip O'Neill had me doubt her as an expert in political history. As much as I didn't want to do it at this point in the game, I would've also used Double Dip and picked A.

No, as I noted last night, he became speaker in 1977, after Carl Albert had issues with a bribery scandal, IIRC.
