Trevor's mom, Judy, flew with him to the show and is in the audience. Regis says that what he likes about Trevor is that he takes every moment to study more trivia. When he works out at the gym, he has his gym trainer quizzing him during the workout. Trevor explains that it's a very small, unmarked gym that has no marketing and only survives by word-of-mouth. When you get there, it's like "Fight Club" but with trivia questions and weights. Even in traffic on the way into NYC from the airport (there was a two-hour delay to get into the Lincoln Tunnel), Trevor studied in the limo. Regis says that Trevor "has the eye of a trivia champion."

Coming out of the commercial, they show a highlight reel of Jason Block (aka rebel2008) on the show in January 2000. Regis welcomes Jason to the audience. Jason is asked for his advice to Trevor and says, "Know your lifelines, don't panic, look at the question, and if you don't know the answer, run; run as fast as you can and take the money, which is exactly what I did."
Trevor went back to school to learn video game, casino game, and web design. Regis mentions that so many young contestants on the show need the money to pay off student loans, and Trevor agrees and says he wouldn't recommend going back to a private school at age 30 because the tuition is so high.
