So My Insomnia Wasn't a Complete Waste....

I found the lyrics to a song I haven't heard in at least 25 years!!!!!! And it even had a YouTube clip of the music video of the song to confirm it was the song I remembered from when I was just 8 years old.....

http://www.uulyrics.com/music/jim-capal ... -the-edge/

I had trouble finding the lyrics before because Aerosmith had a much more popular song of the same title, and their song would always come up, and I had no clue who did the version I remembered.... because it was either one of those songs that completely fell into the dustbin of music history, or just a local favorite (Of which there were a lot of those when I was younger, as radio stations had more of a local flair back then, it was the #15 song of 1983 on my station's countdown).....

And had it not been one of my first cases of misheard lyrics (After my Mom heard me singing it one time, she told me it was "Living on the Edge", not "Living on the Air") I may have completely forgotten about this song and it never would have nagged me to look it up all these years later....

I was drumming a little on the desk, but I wasn't singing..... well, maybe the chorus a little since that was about all I remembered......

BTW, I forgot just how 80's that song really was...... Why'd the 90's have to come along and screw everything up again......?

All that really means is that the music of the 90s really sucked. With the exception of the New Wave of the early 80s, most of that decades music was weak. As I've said on here before, my XM subscription has really brought home to me how good the music of the 70s was, with the notable exception of the dreck that was/is disco.
