I see today's date this morning. I say "December 16...... December 16..... that is something..... Jim Lee's birthday, maybe, no.... that is September 16."

Then I remember - I married Dr Dick on December 16.

There was a time when I thought that would be permanently impeded in my brain.

It is no longer.

Made me go hmmmmm.

Your skills at work! Disassociating the unimportant past and living in the now.

I just made that up, but you know what I mean.

You made up something that fits for me.

Great work.

Just to let you know that not all marriages on December 16 are no good, GW and I celebrate our 29th anniversary today. We did so mainly by shoveling our way out of a 10" snowfall. Okay, not the best of celebrations, but the weather did not cooperate.

Let's see, 29th anniversary gift, that would be ... Reunite.

It's also Beethoven's birthday.

You got married on the same day I did.

I mean, the same day - not the same date - the same month, day and year.

It was a beautiful day in the Hudson Valley that day. I have photos of me taken outside.

I can sort of relate to you Pea.
One day last month I looked at my "MawMaw" and said to her, "I wonder why I'm kind of in a funk today." Just so happened that my ex's b-day, our wedding anniversary, and our divorce anniversary were all in the same week. The "funk" day was the big "D" day. I hadn't even thought about it until I looked at the calendar. I was like, "Hmm ok." Then I just went on my merry little way.
