Yeah, the Thursday garage sale is what sounds odd to me, but that's still a cool, quick turn-around.

I'm still waiting for a hit from Montana. I hope you gave your wife a large supply of Georges to spend there!

Then several years ago, in 2009, Bilello came up with a fun idea: He and his wife would each sign a dollar bill.
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

I got one of this guy's bills at our yard sale last Friday. He has lots of info on his profile.

I haven't had a hit since September 10th. it's the first time I've ever checked my "Hits in the last 10 days" page and found it completely empty...

The last time I had a hit drought this long was when I had 22 consecutive days without a hit from March 30 to April 21 of 2003! The hits that bookended that dry spell were the 9th and 10th of the 11,517 I have racked up in total...

I got two hits within a minute of each other, this morning.

When that happens, I can predict that the bills were entered by the same person and that I'd put them into circulation very recently. Most likely, someone following me into breakfast or lunch got my Georges back as change.

Well, I was right about the first part, but wrong about the second.

http://www.wheresgeorge.com/b:aPzOk6A6iv

The first George had been circulating for 29 days and the second for 77 days (getting two other local hits in the meantime), before they met up in an Elmira bank!

So you got it back in change a day after you spent it, from a different place? Cool!

I've gotten my bills back in bank straps before, but only once as change somewhere other than where I spent it (A five at the car wash, back in the day when I bothered to actually wash the LBN)... but not the next day. That's pretty cool!

My stamp got packed somewhere when we moved, so I haven't added any new Georges in a long time. Hope I find it when we finally unpack here in about a week.

And this thread was only a sleeper for just under a year, this time.

Well, the bill was moving at 585 feet per day. I don't know if a snail could cover that pace...

I haven't been entering any new bills in WG since I went on my coast-to-coast trip last year. Since the COVID-19 shutdown began, I've hardly ever used cash, at all.

But one of my bills (I think one I took on last year's trip) was found in North Dakota today--my 48th state! :D

http://www.wheresgeorge.com/b:KPzRs3gtxk

I'm still waiting for Mississippi, Montana, and DC.
