Those are called boomerang bills, but I think most of them are just people who don't really know where they got the bill. I find that about a third of the bills with user notes that say they got them somewhere far away from where they are entering them are hit from my general area..... and that's way too many to be a coincidence.....

It's better than my hit rate, and I passed the 500 bills entered mark, last week. (As a reward, I'm now getting the "one free month of Friends of George" service.)

I presume you spent this George locally? So someone in CT carried it down to WDW, then someone else carried it to MA--practically next door to where it started from!

What are the odds?

I don't think that is a bad hit rate, is it?

Does it matter where they physically are when they log it? Isn't it tied to the user? So if you live in MA, your bills will always show in MA? And that's why you'd comment in you get them in another state? Or do they let you change that?

All I know, is if I was on vaca in WDW, I doubt I'd be rushing to a computer to log in dollar bills!

Our resident Bored ranking meister just happens to be our resident WG promoter/recruiter. What are the odds he could be talked into adding a WG ranking to his weekly chores? Probably pretty low, huh?

You're supposed to enter your current zip code when you enter a bill. It defaults to your home zip code, but if you're entering bills on the road, you'd have to enter the correct one for where you're at. Yeah, unless you're a very serious Georger, it's easier to just take a stamped bill home with you.

Thanks - I haven't done it often enough to know that you could change that. Me and my 7 or 8 bills that I entered one day.

So I guess, sitting in your living room in MA, you (not you but this person) could just enter the proper zip code from FL anyway then.

Right, that would be against the rules.

#1 Natural Circulation

Giving bills to friends, relatives and/or associates for the purpose of re-entry into the website violates the whole premise of Where's George?. After you enter any bills, just enter them into natural circulation by spending them as you would any other bills. Sending bills via U.S mail or any transportation methods to people in other locales does not constitute natural and geographic circulation. In general, the Where's George? definition of natural and geographic circulation is spending your cash in the course of any normal transaction with any unknown person/entity.

I think Cal is entering bills at a faster pace than you, so his hit rate is gonna be lower in the short run..... it should improve with time.....

I use a red fine point Sharpie. The URL along the left margin. Underline the serial number in both spots and circle the series.
