WWTBAM Bored

Today is our Holiday celebration at the Federal Courthouse. All the different departments bring in food and people just roam around the building gorging themselves.

The Court Security Officers have the room o' meat. Brisket, pork, chicken, sausage in a variety of styles. The Case Managers have a room full of nothing but dessert. And milk to drink which I thought was a nice touch. Most of the other departments have a variety of food. Our floor's departments did chicken and pork tamales this year but we also have the big jury assembly room so some of the other departments are here as well. The library is a popular place for people to come sit after filling their plates so we have a full house.

I only made it to about half of the departments this year. I blame my diet for reducing my capacity for food intake.

The Case Manager would be my new best friend.

I need to come up with a finger food that can sit out for two hours, that isn't pretzels, chips, or popcorn, and that tweens would eat, and I just keep coming back to cookies.

And I'm guessing everyone else is coming to the same conclusion. So the orchestra concert will end with a sugar buzz...

A nice dip with peppers red and green, carrots, celery, cauliflower, broccoli

That's a great idea, MAC, but it has to be something tweens would eat. They will not touch the veggies.

What about cupcakes. My girls and their friends love cupcakes. Maddie's favorite are red velvet Sprinkles cupcakes. (Instead of a cake, she had a cupcake tree for her birthday this year.) If you don't want to go to Sprinkles, Duncan Hines has a red velvet box mix that tastes pretty good.
