We're going to be trapped like dogs

apologies to Annie and all of our four-footers

This is Sting's favorite phrase for days like today.

We will be stuck 'on the hill' today. 8 to 10 inches is the latest prediction. They have cancelled schools already.

So you're getting 8 inches today, Pea??
Most women would love that.

[Yeah, I know it's an uncharacteristic remark from me.]

If you were wb, I would just smack your peepee and it would all be fine.

You are not wb.

I can't just smack your peepee and have it all be fine.

yikers

Just out of curiosity, why does it give you the creeps?

I still remember elwing being weird about some interactions we had years ago - coming on and staking her claim, smacking me down a bit. I got no problem with that it happened. You became someone who it was not appropriate to have such conversations with. You are off limits.

Doing something that is off limits is creepy.

Not meaning to interrupt the uncharacteristically creepy exchange you're having with ear... :P

But we've got the same weather forecast here. It's just started to snow lightly, but there's a lot more on the way. Most schools in the area have closed.

And since I'm in a strange situation: officially "on vacation" but working off-the-books with a promise from my boss to get off-the-books vacation days next year--I'm just taking the day today.

But I still have a teleconference at 5 pm.

Are you sure? elwing only posted a few times years ago, and she's not the type to put the smackdown on anyone.

I was hoping it was because you thought of me as a gentlemanly figure and "elder statesman".

We got rain the last few days and it was much needed. Mac happy to be in the desert and out of the cold and snowy northeast.

Not looking forward to the snow, predicted to start here around 2:00. Snowfall at 1"-2" per hour at the height of the storm, which will coincide with rush hour. Don't know if I can escape from work early or not. Predicted totals are 6"-10". This will not do my back any good.

Gad, Ear, you needing to get laid or something? If that's not totally convenient -- at home, I mean -- I hear there's this new club called Sex Without Partners.

I am sure.

I am also sure it's not because of what you had hoped.

LOL!

Exchanges like this remind me of a classic Jipter exchange between LoriNY and that bored.

She looked forward to snowstorms because she could expect 'lots of inches', and anticipated 'getting plowed'!

(Im not kiddin'!)

In all seriousness that doesn't sound like elwing at all - she has never been the jealous sort. I wonder if it could have been an imp.

No matter, I apologize for the crude remark. When I read your post I thought of that snippet from J! about the woman who "got 8 inches on her honeymoon". It appears that I don't have the wherewithal to play the cad.

I accept your apology, although it was not needed. You promising to not do it again made it all fine for me.

I am sure it was her - there was a whole 'thing' about it. She had read my remarks and you knew warned me she had.

onward!

We have had abnormally warm (68) temps here all week.
