Both of the computer problems I mentioned yesterday have been resolved. It turns out that they were caused by security patches being deployed across the network (different patches to different software, but the same overall effect). Evidently TPTB won't be happy until our computers are so secure that no one can work on them.
The weather today is cool and rainy - it appears that we may dodge the bullet and avoid the ice storms that have hit elsewhere.

Tomorrow we get what ever is left over from the storm. Maybe 6 inches of snow. I'll take that over the ice anyday

Hey, if no one can get in, no data can leak out! So the computer security staff get good annual reviews, but no one else does because no actual work is being done.

The sun is starting to appear up here, but it'll be short-lived. Predictions are for several inches of snow starting Thursday night, just in time to hide the Geminid meteor shower yet again. It's supposed to be quite good this year.

Sposed to be clear and cold here.
I might go out for a few minutes -- tried to watch the Leonids from a sleeping bag this year but had to give up. BRR!
