Christmas shopping for a baby girl!

I've spent the morning on the internet, browser-shopping for clothes and toys for a baby girl.
My oldest son is the father of a brand-new baby of the pink sort, born last night. Her name is Isabella Nicole. She is the first girl in the family for about five decades! I hadn't even dared to consider that possibility.
Yes, I have demanded promises that she will be offered dance classes at the appropriate age. (That means I will let her learn to walk first.) If she then decides she'd rather play soccer or run track, then I have ample experience at cheering for those activities, too.
You may call me Granny for today. If you try it tomorrow, perhaps I'll get all snarky about it again.

Congratulations!
Little girls are much harder than little boys. They are way too smart too early, and so cute you give in more often than you should....

Congratulations to Jusy and the whole Camaro clan.
And Isabelle Nicole sounds much more dancer-ish than soccer player-ish.
Just don't let them start calling her Izzy.

Congratulations, Granny! We want pictures!
And, just a little something to get the darling girl started out
on the right foot!

I want pictures, too! (I might be there already if the ice storm had gone somewhere else.)
You're too late on the shoes, although we were thinking along the same lines. I just ordered these:

which match this dress:

Oops. I'm borrowing Annie's laptop again. It's me, Granny Camaro. Aunt Annie hasn't bought a darn thing.

I can't buy anything, because my mom won't let me use her credit card. I have volunteered to teach Izzle Bizzle how to read, though, and I will tell her everything she needs to know about Evil Squirrels.

From now on you must be careful walking home on Christmas Eve, and all.

Maddie really likes the name Isabella so she named her bunny Isabella.
Of course everyone calls the bunny Izzy.

Congrats, GaGa!
If it helps bring you good vibes, one of Sarah's best friends at dance is the 8 year-old daughter of the studio's owners, and her name is Isabelle. She is a star-in-training.

There are two Isabels in Mini-me's class. One is an Izzy already. She leaves candy on his desk when he gets up to pack away his lunchbox and has written his initials next to hers on her heart-shaped eraser. So if she becomes my daughter-in-law in a decade or so, I'll just call her Isabel until the Izzy vanishes...

That's so cute.
My girls have always been too judgemental of the boys around them to have crushes that young.

Ah, but they haven't met Mr. Wonderful! Tall, dimples, long eyelashes, very sweet disposition, and very smart. They'd have to look very hard to find the flaws!
(They could start by removing his shoes. They might find he wore his socks to bed and didn't change into the clean ones I put out for him in the morning....)
