My night with Tim Gunn

What a wonderfully sweet and elegant man Mr. Tim Gunn is!
He is just as you see him when he is on Project Runaway... he is a real person who happens to be a cultural icon who helps women dress their best. Make it work... with what you have. You can do it!
I asked him (for fwh) where he had his suits made....He laughed and said, "I buy them off the rack at Banana Republic!"
My friend Sally and I had a blast... I haven't had a girls night out in a billion years!
I am smitten with Tim!

I am so glad that you have so much fun!
I am also glad that he is as cool as he is on Project Runway!
I am surprised about the suits, I figured him for a bespoked kind of guy.

I'm glad you had a good time, and I'm always happy when I hear that people I like on television really are nice in real life.
That photo is a treasure! I too want to know what you bought.

Ok... the Liz Claiborne fashion show was great. They had real people modeling the clothing including 2 plus size models. They showed us their line, and how to make an important piece be dressed up or dressed down. Therefore, getting more bang for your buck! And true versalitity for your wardrobe. My friend Sally got a jacket vest with a matching turtle neck sweater. Very stylish.
It was an extremely informative and instructive event!
Well, I bought 3 christmas presents.
A beautiful cerulian casual sweater for my Mom with a matching longsleeved tee to go under it.
And a cute magenta babydoll top for my niece Katy.
BUT...
However, since I knew I was going to meet Tim Gunn, Creative Executive Officer of Liz Claiborne, I purchased a beautiful patent leather Liz Claiborne bag at Macys this past weekend. Got a fantastic deal, and had a friends and family discount card to boot!
Ok, here's a little dirt from Tim...
Remember last season, when they had the every woman challenge, and each designer had to design for a Mom or sister of one of the other designers? Well to quote Tim, "I was incredulous that Uly did not win that challenge with the beautiful design she did for Michael's mother!" She is an everyday woman! He got alot of applause from the audience for those comments.
I asked him who his favorite desinger has been each season... and he said, "I'll tell you who was my least favorite... Vincent from last season."
Loving him!

From Tim's Take:
Uli’s design for Judy (Kayne’s mom) should have won, in my contrarian opinion. There, I said it. I am loath to disagree with the judges, but if Michael’s design was brilliant, then Uli’s was pure genius. Adorable Judy personifies the everyday woman in every way. She’s not a model size, has a limited shopping budget and resources, and would greatly benefit from some sage fashion advice. Uli delivered it all: silhouette, proportion, fit, fabrics, and style. It was a fabulous achievement. Bravo, Uli!
...So why didn't I win? And why is everyone misspelling my name?
