I could possibly understand Laila not knowing this, but her PAF didn't, either?

Another pop culture question. Also a political question, and both of those areas are likely to be harder for Laila.

She made a good guess - it comes from the rapeseed.

She really cut it close on this one. I wonder what her second choice would have been.

OK, time for my first lifeline. This looks like a job for a Google PAF. My inclination was toward "Mountbatten" but not nearly strong enough to pull the trigger.

This question required a lifeline?! And the PAF didn't know it?! Wow... just... wow.

This was a disaster waiting to happen. Taking the DD with 1 second left could've been suicide, but she got damn lucky.

Windsor was an evil distractor. I said Windsor even before the choices came up. I would've crashed and burned with all lifelines on the table.

I could possibly understand Laila not knowing this, but her PAF didn't, either?
Laila read through that question pretty quickly, without emphasizing the key phrase "Year of Evolution", and I'd bet Kris wasn't taking notes while listening to her, so he may not have picked up on that. He may also have gotten hung up on the "Philadephia" part of that, "Hey, I'm in the Big Apple, what do I know/care what Philly does?" And, finally, since Darwin's 200th birthday was in 2009, it wouldn't have been so much in the news, back when this episode was taped, last August.

With all her early lifeline usage, I never dreamed that she'd survive to $25K.
