Leno looks great!

#1 Post by SportsFan68 » Fri Dec 07, 2007 1:30 am

That long hair is fabu!

Of course, he's younger too.

I wonder how they're picking which shows to re-run until the writers' strike is over.

I bet the writers are stockpiling a ton of jokes about being idle and that Leno's entire monologue his first night back will be about the strike.

The late night shows went out first, but they'll be back first too.

I heard Carson Daly came back a few days ago. He said the network said they would fire all of the nonstrikers workers if he didn't.

I heard that too. Wonder what makes him different from Leno, Letterman, Conan...

OK, I'm finally sleepy. That's it for me...

Goodnight to Skoop and anybody else who's still lurking.

Yes, and he's been blacklisted by the WGA as a result.
Leno and O'Brian are paying their staffs out of their own pockets.

Leno and Conan are members of the guild. I don't think Daly is.

What I don't understand is why the networks aren't paying the staff. The shows should still be bringing in money, maybe not as much, so don't pay the big guy, but its not like they are shut down and not getting any ad money.

Leno, Conan, and Letterman all carry mucho power, while Carson Daly is an industry nobody.

Network can bully him, while they have no real power over the other three (can't force them to do anything).
