Holy Schmoley? I jumped 2 spots? PSM jumped FIVE??!!!

That's gotta be some kind of record, especially since she's so close to the top 50.

And lb's back in Seat 9. Dark days ahead, indeed.

I like all the red and green. Holiday-ish.

For a while I thought I would be able to stay ahead of PSM on this Bored, but she's on fire and I'm my usual taciturn self.

Having met you in person, Ear, I'm pretty sure the adjective "taciturn" doesn't often get applied to you, am I right?

That's gotta be some kind of record, especially since she's so close to the top 50.

Since I have not been tracking below the Top 50 before last month, it's impossible to say when the last time a jump like that was made so high in the rankings. But jumps of 5 or more can easily happen the farther down one goes in the rankings.... and there are even certain spots in the Top 100 where a large leap could be made by a prodigious BB (There are 6 consecutive spots in the Top 100 occupied by 6 BB's who post rarely or never anymore that are separated by only 61 posts)...

As for the biggest leap in Top 50 history, Cal debuted in the Top 50 at 37th place in Eyegor's Millennium rankings on 1/1/01, so that's a jump of at least 14 spots. The largest gain in the Top 50 since I have done the rankings is another debut... oldernow at 43rd in the 9/13/01 rankings, up at least 8. There are three BB's (Pea, Bixby, and tribe) who once jumped 7 places entirely within the Top 50....

BTW, you may prove my prediction wrong I made back in April when HoltdDad became the most recent member of the 10,000 post club. I said that the next member of the 10K club would likely end up being someone who was currently outside of the Top 50, but you've picked up the pace enough that you may be able to pull it off. Of course, when I made that prediction, I wasn't counting on PSM making a run....

BTW, a couple of milestone alerts:

Sprots is 11 posts away from her 46,000th in her prodigious posting career (Everyone stand in awe  )

silvercamaro needs just 46 more posts to get her 20,000th overall.

Rexer needs only 3 to reach 7,000.

PSM's better half is only 5 posts away from an even 2,000.

And TiV needs just 15 posts to reach the magic #6,666.... :P

That's very impressive, PSM! Nothing like seeing a brand new ranking list on this Raspberry Bored to ignite the competitive spirit, eh? (Even if beast does fold that into all his other statististics from the dawn of time.) 8)

Yeah, I know. One thing about this new Bored is the post count that appears beneath the avatar. I've been conscious of the number and would like to reach that milestone today, but probably won't.

Just 3 posts for 7000?

I'm gobsmacked.

Won't be able to post anything at all.

BTW, any chance of getting my consecutive one word posts included in the count anytime soon?

No, he wasn't as enthusiastic as posting for no reason as I seem to be. Plus, he is busy giving lectures and doing other things today.

First, thanks as always for doing this, LB.

Second, you're a total doll for posting little gems like this . . . even if you do keep ignoring me when I keep telling you that Katie's little roundhouse really did appear on the first airing of her show. :!:

Third, I was gonna post something for 45K but never got around to it, so in three more posts I'll think of something....
