Anyone been to one? My daughter in Minneapolis wants to attend one on Saturday. I am looking for information as to what she can expect once she gets there.

I don't recall which BBs have gone to these, but what to expect is pretty standard: A massive turn-out and an extremely brief opportunity to present a concentrated blast of telegenic excitement for the producers' review.

She's seen what the contestants are like on the show, right?

As Pea would say, my daughter can be "perky".

One of my friends tried out in Miami. When they asked what's the most adventurous thing she ever did, she said, "a three-way."

She wasn't called.

They may have her in mind for another show.

I'd say download the app and have it filled out beforehand. That way she'll know what to expect.

If it's like other NBC casting extravaganzas, she'll wait in line a long time, then stand around a table with 10 or so other contestants and a PA. She'll have to impress the PA to move on.

She should also go early and bring some snacks. It will probably take a while.

Just remember to keep the lines mooovin'.....and milk the interview for all it's worth.....

I had a former student whose show aired earlier this year. He auditioned in Shreveport. He has an over-the-top personality, but he said he just acted like himself on a caffeine trip at the auditions. From what I understand it is a hurry up and wait moment, and that you really have to woo them in the seconds/minute you get to stand before them.

Daughter reported there were over 7000 people that showed up. Waited outside 3 hours and inside another 3 hours. 10 in a group at a time reported to 7 tables. They were told they would get about 20-30 seconds. Beth reported most times all 10 were dismissed and only a couple of times would 1 or at most 2 people stay a tad longer at the table.

Both Beth and her cousin Kayla were both held at their table for followup questions. The AP told them they were the two most energetic that he had interviewed to that point. He told them that "boring" was the word going around the APs for most of the day.

Well, at least they got to the follow up portion.

Oh, and she said it was friggin cold waiting outside those three hours. Long day but she said they had fun and were glad they gave it a shot even knowing it is a very long shot.
