Aw, Bob, I wish I'd known! I originally had today's date in the Zodiac QOD but then I took it out and went with all family birthdays. Had I known I would have left it in, just for my favourite Southern Belle type.
Btw, I think of you every time one of those 'every kiss begins with Kay' adverts come on television. Which, now that the season is upon us, is a lot.
HEY KAY!

Happy Birthday!
I'm sure if I had a dog it would have reminded me that you had a birthday today......or it would have been busy at the piano composing sonatas.

Do you need a dog, Mr. Uly? I can lend you Lizzle Bizzle. In fact, you can keep her for as long as you want.

Can she compose sonatas?

Not yet, but she hasn't met Miss Kay yet, either. That's who I credit for my own musical interest and progress as a composer.
You would like Lizbit. She's sorta cute, and she can crawl on her belly like a wounded movie dog. She also does an excellent portrayal of a land shark. Maybe you could use your connections to get her work in the film industry.

Happy birthday!
I will send you something blue so you won't get lost in all those orange people at the bowl game.
Clemson vs. Auburn. Whose bright idea was that?

Thank ya'll. It was very sweet of each and every one of you. So far, I've had to work all day as I let one of my full time girls have a long weekend so I haven't done anything else.
I think my kids organized a birthday dinner tonight at 7:30. As I mentioned in Hermillion's 5 years ago today thread, I've been told I have a combined birthday/Christmas gift this year and have to decide when to open it. The choice is now or Christmas.
I'm leaning towards Christmas, as I do tend to let my birthdays to go by quietly and this is sort of a "milestone birthday". Don't ask me which one, cause I won't tell you
Blue shirts, wet kisses, sonatas, good friends and almost a part of QOD, what more could a girl ask for?
Thanks again for the well wishes.

I'm still up and adding my thanks to the rest of you.
It was a very nice dinner with my children. I had mentioned I thought I would like some Fiesta Ware as my everyday dishes and they came through with enough for me to serve 12. Assorted colors: Peacock, Sunflower, Turquoise and Cinnabar. I trained them well.

Wow, Kay! That is really neat! Service for 12 on top of that! This is the Fiesta Ware from the 30s/40s, right? I love the stuff. Specifically, it is for sentimental reasons because whenever I see it, it reminds me of the set my Grandma has.
I'm glad you had such a great day.

Yep, Fiesta Ware hasn't changed at all since the original back in the "days".
It's timeless. I think they have a few new colors...like the Cinnabar my kids got me. The serving pieces and the rest is essentially the same as it always has been. My children tell me I'm hard to buy for since I usually just get myself whatever I want. This worked out nicely for all of us.
Thanks to the morning crew for the birthday wishes.
