I saw the Tiger Parts category and hoped it was about Tiger's knee.

One could make the case that none of the answer is correct - at the moment of a total eclipse the sun is not bright enough to blind. It's the runup to the event and afterward that the danger exists, or if it's not a total eclipse.

It is also somewhat dependent on how one might define "blindness". Looking at the sun will not likely cause total black out Stevie Wonder blindness but rather will damage central visual acuity. The periphery would still likely be intact. However loss of just central visual acuity can certainly be a severe disability.

And while you are correct that there is essentially no risk to the eye during, and only during, the portion of a solar eclipse that is total, if there is one at your location, it still isn't the greatest plan to do so. The total eclipse portion is brief (maybe 7 minutes at most) and if it is only slightly off or perhaps an annular eclipse it is possible to do significant damage to the retina in a very brief period of time. Also creates a potential habit for ones self and perhaps others, like the rug rats, who might not be aware of the distinction between a total solar eclipse and other phases. As the Anti-Nike says: Just don't do it!

And I believe D can cause deafness if listened to with the naked ear...

(I have always found the phrase "the naked eye" to be a curious one!)
