Lyn's new trivia blog

#1 Post by LynPayne » Mon Mar 30, 2009 9:20 am

Hi guys!
I hope everyone on the Bored is well and doing lots of fun stuff. I've been deep into work projects lately, and they show no signs of letting up, but I do want to let you know about my new blog, Trivialicious, at http://www.trivialicious.blogspot.com. I'm still searching for the right tone and focus for it, and it's incredibly basic right now, but check it out if you're interested. The idea is to share some of my quiz show insights and tips with my fans, and specifically with anyone contemplating going on a quiz show, and I'll eventually cobble together a little book... Some of the stuff I'll post there will seem pretty basic to the Bored, but the idea is to reach out to a wide range of readers, and I hope that at least *sometimes* someone here can learn something from it. I'd love to get feedback on how you think it plays--with you *and* with the average reader...
XOXO,
Lyn

I suppose you could start using a Hello Kitty site theme.

You could add a little squirrel pornography. Or maybe have ES do the artwork.

Well she does want to draw an audience. And sell books. Is Fabio available to model for ES?

Squirrels! Kitties! Must work them in...$10 or no... :)

And I'm afraid the "highbrowosity" factor has already gone downhill after I posted something about KFC and the potholes...but there's Dickens and medieval history in there, too.

Keepin' it real--

Come on you all, you want Lyn to think we're not on topic or serious around here?

Looks like a very nice site, Lyn. Thanks for sharing with us.

I never thought I'd say this, but that avatar was way better than the current one. The squirrel porn was less disturbing than weird big headed tattooed kitty.

Sorry, I wasn't thinking!!! It's because I'm too tired, which seems like a good reason to go to bed now.

Okay, I think there was one in between that had a whip.

But I found the cigarette one.

I actually chose Trivialicious in hopes of someday being able to post some squirrel porn. :)

(I'm sure no one on the Bored will ever be able to be sillier than me...)

Thanks for enjoying the blog. :)

Did you actually have squirrel porn? Because when I went there last night, it told me you were in violation of their terms of service agreement, LOL...

Oh you caught me! :)

Actually, Google sent me this message about why I violated their terms of service:
"What Are Spam Blogs?
As with many powerful tools, blogging services can be both used and abused. The ease of creating and updating webpages with Blogger has made it particularly prone to a form of behavior known as link spamming. Blogs engaged in this behavior are called spam blogs, and can be recognized by their irrelevant, repetitive, or nonsensical text, along with a large number of links, usually all pointing to a single site." Sounds like a trivia site to me, yup. :)

Every writer just loves hearing that their work is "irrelevant, repetitive or nonsensical..."
