top o' the mornin'®
Now that elwing has definitely decided to take the job in Ketchikan, our weekends will be full of activities trying to get her (and me) ready. One thing she'll be working on is boxing up her yarn into pre-paid shipping boxes. Her plan is to take some of her knitting projects with her and then ask me to send more yarn at intervals. She's numbering the boxes so all she has to do is say, "Send box #6" and I'll know which one to ship.
It should be noted that I went directly from living with my mother to living with elwing, so I've never had a "bachelorhood" on which I can draw for experience and knowledge.

I was nearly the same, with about two months of just me and the cat before the wedding. I've always claimed that getting married saved me from eating all my meals directly out of bags, boxes and cans.earendel wrote:It should be noted that I went directly from living with my mother to living with elwing, so I've never had a "bachelorhood" on which I can draw for experience and knowledge.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

Tip 1. Remember that eating directly over the sink leads to many fewer dirty dishes.earendel wrote:It should be noted that I went directly from living with my mother to living with elwing, so I've never had a "bachelorhood" on which I can draw for experience and knowledge.
Enough already. It's my fault! Get over it!

Not in my house! It is an essential kitchen appliance. Always thought the TV in the fridge idea was a good one...ulysses5019 wrote:Rexer25 wrote:Tip 1. Put in a recliner, bed and toilet and you never have to leave the kitchen! Of course you don't really need a kitchen other than perhaps a microwave when there is takeout and pizza delivery 24/7...

Re: top o' the mornin'®
I don't know if it matters because yarn is pretty cheap...but USPS priority mail flat rate boxes are a pretty cheap way to go with respect to shipping stuff. I just shipped like 15 pounds of books to myself in Vegas...it got there in 2 days and cost only $11. They have smaller boxes too. But if it's just yarn, it might be so light that regular shipping options will do.earendel wrote:Now that elwing has definitely decided to take the job in Ketchikan, our weekends will be full of activities trying to get her (and me) ready.
