Neighborhoods change in thirty years

Horrific local story. Older brother killed two of his sisters and would have killed a third if the police hadn't gotten him first. No clue on motive at this juncture, other than he had argued with a neighbor shortly beforehand.

My personal link is that this is about a half-mile from where I grew up, two blocks from where my cousins grew up, and less than a block from the elementary school mentioned which was also mine. I know, or knew, the neighborhood fairly well. Some friends lived around there. Kind of scary.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

So sorry. Of course I heard the story, as its the big local story du jour. In this case, very sorry to be able to put any kind of "face" on it.

My gut reaction -- not based on data, mind you -- just feeling:

Prison does marvellous things for a young man with an undiagnosed, or denied mental illness.

It's not necessarily the neighborhood if it was a family member. When I was a kid, a whole family was murdered by the father/husband, who then killed himself...down the street from my grandparents' house. It was a huge tragedy, but not indicative of the neighborhood. Although after that, none of the superstitious Italians wanted to buy homes in that neighborhood...to this day I kind of get freaked out when I see the house, even though it's been painted, relandscaped and made to look as different as possible.

It's going to be tough to sell that house in Milton.

Teach a child to be polite and courteous in the home and, when he grows up, he'll never be able to drive in New Jersey.
